ABOUT US

We are SmileCare Society or SCS, a student-led 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering youths interested in the dental fields while also promoting oral health among the public.

Untreated tooth decay affects over 2.4 billion people globally. Over 1 in 5 children aged 6–8 years in high-poverty areas have untreated tooth decay, while nearly 1 in 4 seniors aged 65 and older in similar communities suffer from untreated cavities.

At SCS, our mission is clear: to bridge the opportunity gap for aspiring dental students while fighting the widespread neglect of oral health in our communities—because every smile deserves care.

Through hands-on volunteer and service projects like dental hygiene kit packing, and educational programs for youth and elderly, we not only inspire young people to explore dental careers but actively work towards oral health equity in underserved populations.
